Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. Do I have to service my car at the dealership to have my warranty honored?
ANS. For maintenance procedures outlined in your owner’s manual as scheduled service – like oil, filter and fluid changes and tire rotations – you do not have to go to the dealership for the manufacturer to honor your warranty. It’s no secret that dealerships are sometimes a bit pricier than an independent shop or an express oil-change place, and maintenance at these places may be easier to fit into a busy schedule. Just make sure to keep your receipts and have proof that the maintenance was done to your vehicle. If something does go wrong and requires warranty repair, you’ll have proof that it wasn’t caused by a lack of maintenance.
For everything else we can advise you accordingly.
Q2. Parts Selection: New or Used?
ANS. In car repairs there is often need to replace a part in your car for various reasons. You will need to decide if you want a new part or are happy to for a second-hand part to be installed. Paul will be able to advise you accordingly.
Q3. Can you advise me on labour?
ANS. The time we spend on your car should be used to your advantage and the need for multiple labour charges can be eliminated. Getting two minor repairs completed at the same time can save a significant amount of money. For example, if you are having your timing belt replaced, then that may be an ideal time to check the water pump as the belts will be removed anyway.
Q4. Do I get an itemised Invoice?
ANS. You most certainly do. We understand you work hard for your money and you deserve to know every hour spent and part replaced. Reading and understanding the invoice at the end of the service can really give you a piece of mind.
